Liquidity & Swapping

Learn how to provide liquidity and trade CP Token within the Pi ecosystem.

Create a Liquidity Pool (LP)

Providing liquidity is a crucial part of any decentralized ecosystem. By adding your tokens to a liquidity pool, you help facilitate trades and earn fees in return.

In the Pi Wallet, you can create or join liquidity pools on platforms like StellarTerm or other integrated DEX interfaces. The primary trading pair for CP Token is Test-Pi / CP.

To create a liquidity pool, you'll need an equal value of both Test-Pi and CP tokens. When you deposit them, you receive LP tokens representing your share of the pool.

How to Swap CP Token

Swapping (trading) tokens is done through the decentralized exchange (DEX) built into the Stellar protocol, accessible via your Pi Wallet.

  1. Navigate to the 'Trade' or 'Swap' section of your wallet.
  2. Select the assets you want to swap (e.g., Test-Pi for CP).
  3. Enter the amount you wish to trade.
  4. Review the exchange rate and estimated fees.
  5. Confirm the transaction. The swap is executed on-chain.

Swap fees are minimal, typically covering the network transaction cost and a small percentage (e.g., 0.3%) for liquidity providers.

Risks Disclaimer

Participating in liquidity pools and swapping tokens involves financial risk. Prices can be volatile, and you may experience impermanent loss when providing liquidity.
